**PRESS RELEASE**

Lions clubs of District 201-C1 are constantly seeking people interested  helping their community. Lions are known throughout the world for their assistance to those people less fortunate than themselves. However, clubs need members to continue that assistance.

District Governor of District 201-C1, Lyn Shoemark, says that the clubs need to continually find new members as numbers decline due to the aging of its current members. The demands on members, needs to be relaxed as there are more demands for Lions clubs resourses. Some clubs are struggling with small membership, but demands are increasing.

The rewards of Lions club membership are enormous. The satisfaction of helping their fellow citizens, Youth programs, aid to the elderly and disabled, assistance in times of natural disaster and health programs are just a few.

Information can be found on the District web site www.lionsclubs.org.au/201c1 or by phoning the Lions information line 1300 666 080.
