Welcome to District 201Q2 in North Queensland and Papua New Guinea. We currently have 63 Lions Clubs, 12 Lioness Clubs and 4 Leo Clubs working with the community thought our large District.

This beautiful area covers the sugar fields of the Mackay region in the south, up north to Cooktown and Weipa and stretching out west to the Gulf and Mount Isa. The large industrial and administrative centre of Townsville and the major tourist centres of Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands, Airlie Beach, Whitsunday Islands and The Great Barrier Reef. We also include Papua New Guinea which boasts one Lions Club in Tabubil, and a Lioness Club in Lae, all making up this very large and diversified District.

Our theme for this year is,

"If it is Right for Lions – Just Do It”

By working together we can acheive any goal, and meet the challenges and future needs of our Clubs, both District and Nation wide.

Our objectives for the year are;

To retain and strengthen membership by implementing a "Motivation" program.

To promote "We Care" by involving our communities in our Projects and Educate the Youth in our communities about caring for each other.

Most importantly, to enjoy being a member of the Lions family and have fun!
