Donald and Essendon Clubs - City/Country Alliance
Essendon recently formed an alliance with the Donald club and instead of their members giving Xmas gifts to each other this year it was suggested they buy a children’s gift. At Essendon’s final dinner meeting these gifts were given to Santa who attended the meeting.
Four club members travelled to Donald last week and delivered over 40 gifts to the club to deliver to local children whose parents have been effected by the drought.
Essendon members all enjoyed the experience of giving rather than receiving. They are now looking at other ways of supporting Donald in the future.
