Reservoir Lions - District Winner
International Peace Poster Competition
"Peace Around the World" was the 2007-2008 Peace Poster Theme. Sincere congratulations to the Lions Club of Reservoir who where the successful winning Club for District V1-4 with an entry by a student from Keon Park Primary school.
Reservoir Club Peace Poster Chairman Lion Don Trewella, and members of the Lions Club made a presentation at the school Graduation night.
The Club gave the winning student a $50.00 book voucher; the next three best entries each received $25. 00 book vouchers and a book was also
donated to the school library.
National winner was Zoe an entrant from the Lions Club of Oatley N5. All of the 2007/2008 National winners can be viewed on the web site at www.lionsclubs.org.au/pposter
Sincere thanks to the following Lion Clubs who also participated in this year, Essendon, Strathfieldsaye and Woodend.
The Peace Poster kits will be available from February 2008 to distribute to schools. The earlier the schools are made aware of the competition the better, so they can schedule it into their yearly curriculum diary.
