Main Objectives for Year:
To see the formulation of a District Disaster plan that is known by all members within the District.
For clubs and members to have a better understanding of their District Chairmen and the portfolios they administer, and to make good use of their expertise within clubs.
To promote interaction between clubs, both on a social level by encouraging more visitations and good times, and on a working-for-the-community level by holding more joint projects and activities.
Lions Interests: Public Relations, Membership and Retention Training. Assisting Neighbourhood Watch with Operation Safe Plate. Lions Youth of the Year. StepAhead. Lions Eye Health Program. Peace Poster Competition.
Outstanding Lions Achievements: Graduate of the Emerging Leaders Institute, Bali, 2004; Graduate of the Senior Lions Institute, Dunedin, 2008; Joint Guiding Lion helping to form a New Century Lions Club in Bendigo.
Operation Friendship in Connecticut and Indiana, 6 weeks in 2006. Attended three International Conventions and eight MD Conventions. Sightfirst 11 Group Coordinator.
Awards: Ian Stockdale Humanitarian Award, International President's Certificate of Appreciation, DG's Certificate of Appreciation, Club Certificate of Appreciation.
Business Interests: Secretarial and Hospitality. Taste tester at all local coffee lounges.
Civic Interests: Bendigo Easter Fair; Weekly Snakes (and occasionally Ladders) for 12 years with a local handicapped gentleman.
Sporting Interests: Squash, tennis, volleyball - sadly, all in the dim past!
