Online WMMR Tutorial

Welcome to all club secretaries for the new Lions year. Your year will be busy with many deadlines to be adhered to both at club level as well as District level. There will be many items sent out that will require your attention. Please deal with them immediately so they are not lost in the system and thereby saving both your time and my time when I need to follow up due to lack of response from your club.

Any secretary looking for assistance please call me on 5241 8050 or email me on spyers51@gmail.com I will be happy to assist as requested.

MMR’s: As mentioned at the incoming secretaries information day/s there has been one change made to the MMR reporting. MMR’s are now reporting on a calendar month.

Those reporting MMR’s online can do so anytime up to the end of each month. Ideally immediately following your last meeting of the month so I can identify those who have entered MMR’s online.

Those reporting manually for July, need to have the MMR’s in by 10th July so I can send them off to USA by 20th.

Manual MMR’s received later than 10th July will be included onto August reports.

District Project proposal: Clubs wishing to put forward a District Project at Edenhope District Convention in November this year, need to have their proposal put forward no later than 9th August (90 days) to Cabinet Secretary.

Notices of Motions for District Convention: It is time to begin to get your thoughts together to put forward any notices of motions at the Edenhope convention. This is an opportunity to have your club’s say on what our district should be doing. Notices of motion need to be in by September 8th (60 days) to Cabinet Secretary.

District Changeover Region/Zone Meeting: A reminder that most Zone chairmen will be holding their first Zone meeting on Sunday 13th July. Those incoming Presidents and or Secretaries should make themselves available to attend and should contact the new Zone Chairman prior to the day to notify your intentions to attend. Each secretary has a new District card with all new cabinet members’ details.

MD Convention – Melbourne 2009: If any Lion is looking to assist the MD Convention in Melbourne as a volunteer, “expressions of interest” can be registered by contacting:

EOI – Lions MD Convention 2009, PO Box 2332 Melton South Vic 3338 or email to aur89696@bigpond.net.au

Finally, I wish to pass on my congratulations to DG Gordon and his cabinet for the effort put in this year. My thanks are extended to VDG Mary and Cabinet Secretary Libby for their assistance in preparing me for the coming year.

I wish you all a successful year – “If it is to be – then it’s up to me
