❖ A Saturday Night Dinner Dance is being organised with Dance Band “Cheek to Cheek” to provide great dance music for your entertainment and a chance to show off your dancing skills or if you are like me remain seated and be sociable. Also, we have booked some special additional musical entertainment to be provided by a group of 25/30 people forming the Melbourne Harmony Chorus. They will entertain for two brackets of 20 minutes and should provide a different musical interlude.
❖ There is excellent substantial varied accommodation within the vicinity of the Convention venue with details to be provided in next Newsletter or if you require now please contact me for information.
❖ Early bird bookings taken at the 2007 Convention proved successful with 37 being received with the full hospitality book prize being won by Doreen Haynes (Croydon).
❖ Our Club’s website will be updated shortly to include a lot of relevant information about the Convention including a registration form able to be downloaded for your use.
Please make plans to come and enjoy an entertaining, sociable and informative convention in 2008. Encourage your fellow Club Members to come along and above all see if you can ensure your Club can provide at least your full quota of delegates (preferably more) to ensure that you have a say for your Club on the way the District is run.
If you don’t attend you of course are unable to have your Club’s opinion aired in the appropriate circles.
Our committee and the total Wheelers Hill Club Membership is hoping that our total attendance for the weekend exceeds 300, so please make sure we are kept on our toes to provide what we promise and and 'LET’S CELEBRATE IN 2008'.
