CONVENTION FEATURES

FRIDAY

  • BBQ dinner at the Convention Centre - Memorial Hall, Nolan Street.

Meal to start at 6:00pm with last meal to be served before 7:30pm to allow Opening Ceremony to commence at 8:00pm.

  • Supper will be light – tea, coffee and biscuits.

SATURDAY

  • Street March will feature Vintage Cars so that those conventioneers physically unable to walk the distance will have an opportunity to participate. Seat numbers will be limited – register early – first in first served. If you are late, you miss out.
  • Evening dinner will feature a live one-man band playing everything from Old Time to Rock & Roll so there will be a great variety of “dance to” music.
  • The dinner will be two-course (main and sweet) of generous proportions and will include all drinks (beer, Brown Bros. Wine and soft drink) except spirits.
  • Theme will be “A Day at the Races” and conventioneers are encouraged to dress up accordingly. We paraded examples at Strathy convention.
  • During the evening, special “racing theme” entertainment will be provided with an opportunity to raise funds for the V6 Foundation. You won’t be fleeced, but do bring your wallet/purse.

SUNDAY

  • Rememberance Ceremony will be held straight after morning tea on Sunday morning – approx. 10:30am.
  • Sunday Lunch will be a Chinese meal consisting of a main course, sweets, tea/coffee and one complementary beer, wine or soft drink.
  • You choose on your registration if you want to eat in before you drive home or take away so you can get away early and stop somewhere to enjoy.

You must make that choice on your registration form and cannot change your selection on the day.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We intend to be fair, but generally if the Convention Committee is required to pay for a booking not used then there will be no refund. If you are in that circumstance, please contact us.

We look forward to your early registration and to your enthusiastic participation.

SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR THE LADIES

We know you like to look your best at the Dinner Dance or maybe you just want to freshen up after the journey to Kerang.

The following Hairdressing Salons are offering a special Shampoo & Blow wave for $20.

I’ve got no idea what that means, but my Higher Authority assures me that it is good and that all the salons make you feel welcome and pampered.

So if you want some hair therapy in Kerang after your loved one has kept his window down the entire trip to Kerang, ring for an appointment and make sure you mention that you are coming for the Lions Convention to get the discount.
