Main Objectives:
1. To promote Lions throughout the community.
2. To embrace programs that will benefit the community but where no Government assistance is available.
3. To provide training for Nurses, Doctors, Family Members and interested Lions to enable them to assist community members suffering from mental health issues.
4. To encourage Lions to develop their leadership skills by running Leadership, MERL and Faculty Development Courses.
5. To focus on membership growth.
6. To encourage clubs to accept and adapt to change.
Lions Interests: In 2002 my interest in Lions grew to encompass both Club and District levels and I commenced my association with District Cabinet. My seven terms served to date have involved me in a number of positions including Zone Chairman, Region Chairman, District Chairman (Environment and Crimewatch), Assistant Cabinet Secretary and of course as Vice District Governor.
All areas of Lionism hold my interest, especially the new portfolio of Mental Health and the great effect this has on all our communities, the Youth Programs are of special importance and Environment issues - not just stepping onto the band wagon but working out what is beneficial for us all. As Lions we have an opportunity to embrace our youth and young adults; to encourage these young people to be more community minded and involved them in appropriate community programs.
Awards: As a Lion I have been honoured to receive various Lions Awards: James D Richardson Honour Award, District Governors Appreciation Award, District Governors Service Awards, 100% Presidents Awards, 100% Secretaries Award and Cabinet Secretary Award.
Interests: When time permits after family, work and Lions commitments, I assist legacy, read books/poetry/newspapers to the elderly at an Elderly Citizens' home/lodge; I assist wit the Royal Children's Hospital Appeal, Police Community Consultative Committee and I am a member of a local environmental committee.
My interests include cooking, swimming, reading, flower arranging, family get-togethers, classical music and health and environmental issues.

Four terms as Club President, six terms as Secretary, two terms as Zone Chairman, five years as District Leo Chairman and three years as State Coordinator. 2001 Centenary of Federation Medal for work in Lions and the community.
Awards: 16 years of perfect achievement. Club Presidents Excellence Award, District Governors Award and Key Member Award.
Business Interests: Retired school principal who now works part time with children with special needs.
