•  Charter member of King Island Club with 41 years service
•  Over 30 years on Club Board
•  Sponsor of 31 new members
•  Gives hospitality to Lions guests who visit the island
•  Maintains the Lions display at the airport
•  Gives his time to help feed the elderly at the local hospital
•  Driving force behind the local tennis competition
•  Gives his time and effort to serve his club and Community
•  Attends every working bee
•  Melvin Jones Fellow
•  “A true Gentleman and a credit to our Lions Family”


Ambrose Depiazzi

•  Charter member of Mandurah Club with 39 years service
•  Numerous terms on Club Board incl. 2 terms as President
•  Numerous terms on District Cabinet
•  After his term as DG he was elected MD Council Chairman
•  Has served as Director of a number of WA Lions Bodies,
   including: – 
   Miss Personality Quest

   Lions Help to Hear

   Lions Save Sight Foundation

•  Recipient of James D Richardson Award
•  Melvin Jones Fellow
•  Of particular relevance today is that Ambrose was the inaugural Chairman of our Foundation, and served in that capacity for 5 years.


Garth Gleeson

•  Life Member Apex
•  9 years Lions membership
•  Service on Boards of sugar cane industry, Show Society, School P&C’s.
•  Chairman of local Community Employment Group providing opportunities for disadvantaged & intellectually challenged youth in Atherton tablelands area
•  5 terms on Club Board, 6 terms on District Cabinet
•  Role model, a mentor, gives time and knowledge and wise counsel to assist and guide his fellow Lions
•  Generous with his time and efforts to his Club and Community
•  As District Emergency Officer has provided great support and leadership during times of crisis in Nth. Queensland

Bob Korotcoff

•  49 years membership – 13 years in Qld and 36 years in S.A.
•  Served as President of 3 Clubs
•  In Queensland – Service as JP ; Cairns and Townville Fire Brigade Boards; Cairns Chamber of Commerce;
•  In S.A. – Lengthy service as Secretary and/or Treasurer of a number of organizations
•  Organisation providing safe, supportive housing for the elderly Brighton Senior Citizens
•  Flinders Sub-branch of National Servicemen’s Association
•  South Western Schools Ministry Group
•  Brighton St. Vincent de Paul.
•  Many years service to our Multiple District.
•  Foundation “Earth Angel” for Angel Flight Australia
