A Lions Club Rises from the Dust
Western New South Wales, like much of Australia, has been in the grips of drought for the best part of ten years. Some areas are slowly recovering after good rain early in 2008. Ivanhoe, in the centre of the State, continues to suffer the on-going effects. Life has become very tough for the people of Ivanhoe and many residents have been forced to make the extremely difficult decision to leave farms and businesses.

Lions International Peace Poster Competition 2008-09
Each year consists of an original theme incorporating peace. Twenty four international finalists are selected to represent the work of more than 350,000 young participants from around 75 countries worldwide. Since 1988 more than 3.6 million children have participated.
