The Future of Lions
Leos were in force at the recent Lions Convention in Launceston and new clubs are starting every day.
Lions has developed the Leo program to introduce young Australians to the benefits of volunteering and community service and new clubs are starting every day.
Many Leo’s are embracing joint membership – remaining part of the Leo Program but also joining as Lions. What a great example!

Young People and Lions
When Lions has a new task to be done, we call for our members to put their hands up. Almost every job in our organisation is carried out by a volunteer! Whether that be direct community service, training and leadership, publicity, or management; we are lucky to have talented and generous people to devote their time and committment to continuing the good work of our Association. So where do young people fit in?
The question of course, is 'where DON’T young people fit in'. Its great to have legions of loyal and skilled members who have been with us for decades - they are the engine room of our organisation!
They know us through-and-through; how to administer a club, how to get a project going, how to quickly mobilise in an emergency, and who to talk to in the community to make things happen.
This is an extraordinary resource that we ought to celebrate.
Lions and Invocare

Lions Clubs International Australia is very pleased to be supported by InvoCare, an Australian success story and the leading provider of funeral and related services in the Asia-Pacific region.
InvoCare assists Lions Australia in several important ways. First, through a Memorandum of Understanding ,InvoCare supports Lions Australia in the hosting of District conventions, membership growth as well as the memorial sessions that feature during District and National Conventions. These efforts were on display during the Lions Clubs International Convention that was held in Sydney in 2010.
