The Graham Pearce Award
The MD 201 Council of Governors in September 2008, agreed with a request to
establish a new National Leo Award to be known as the Graham Pearce Leo
Award – named in honour of the President of the first Lions Club in
Australia to charter a Leo Club – the Leo Club of Ingham, Queensland - which
chartered on the 25/1/1968. The family of Lion Graham Pearce (Dec) have
given permission for this award to be named in his honour. This award is
available to be purchased from the Chairman of the MD Leo Committee for
A$500 in the form of a citation and plaque in recognition of Outstanding
Service to the Leo movement in Australia, by any Lion, Leo, Lion/Leo, Leo
Advisor or Lioness within MD 201 – who in the opinion of the purchasing
Club has rendered a long history of outstanding service to Leos within
Australia, Papua New Guinea, Norfolk Island or East Timor. Funds received
will go to the Leo Development Fund which is administered by Lions Australia
head office - Newcastle.

with a cheque for A$500 payable to theMD201 Leo Development Fund.
