YANKALILLA AREA SCHOOL LEO CLUB ACTIVE IN THE COMMUNITY

With the assistance of Mr Corey Jackson, the Yankalilla District Council, Coast, Estuarine & Marine Officer the Club organised an early start to "Coastal Care Week". All members travelled by bus to the sand dunes at Carrickalinga Sands and spent most of the day planting, staking, guarding and watering 100 rare seedlings of the Normanville Taxons or Acacia Retinodies var. Uncifolia.

Yankalilla Area School Leo Club advisor Mrs Sonia parker also accompanied the staff on the project.

Member Sthen had a sausage sizzle at the Yankalilla Youth and Community Centre followed by a club meeting, when Luke Bartett was elected the incoming President for the coming year.
