Providing Emergency response and Assistance

Lions have always been a part of emergency support within Australia. Whether it be by providing direct help as members of the local bushfire brigade or SES, helping out as tradespeople in rebuilding efforts, providing food, clothing and a friendly face to emergency workers; or raising dollars to help local communities recover - LIONS ARE ALWAYS THERE.

The Lions Alert program is about Lions being organised and available to help out where needed. This page is the one stop information resource to find out about what Lions is doing to help.

Lions Emergency response plan is currently under development and provides an mechanism for Lions to support their communities in local, Statewide, National or International emergencies.

Lions National "Lions Alert" Chairperson is the Executive Officer - Rob Oerlemans.

The Multiple District Council has established an emergency response team consisting of the Council Chariment, four District Governors and the Executive Officer who coordinate our emergency response. Each District has also established a District Emergency Committee.

This page will provide a key communication tool to Lions about International and National Emergencies.
