Membership Development

Introduction

Following decisions by the Council of Governors, the Multiple District Membership Services Committee is focusing on delivering leadership skills and information at a number of levels.

The first level is for both new and longer serving Lions that may not have had the opportunity to attend workshops or seminars.

Secondly, training has been scheduled for the Lions who are to become the leaders of our districts and this Multiple District by conducting District Governor Elect schools under the tuition of PDG Norm Alcock.

Thirdly, Vice District Governors and or each respective District Membership Chairman will, in the course of this current year, be offered the opportunity to attend seminars to acquire skills relative to maintaining and growing our membership.

New Club Consultants PDG Russ Connolly and PDG Bede Long are consistently busy throughout the country conducting New Club Extension Workshops, giving in-depth presentations on the formation of new clubs and training the Guiding Lions who are charged with mentoring each new club formed. As a result of the great success they are having in the field they are both highly sought after. I therefore encourage clubs to access their talents sooner, rather than later, by contacting your District Governor.

On this website Training material is made available in order that all Lions and clubs within this Multiple District can access the information. Much of this material is produced in PowerPoint form, & is therefore ideal to use in presentations. In most cases the material is a living document and will be fine tuned as circumstance may from time to time apply.

Each of the chairmen listed below and myself are available for consultation and can provide, where appropriate and within budget, hands-on assistance, to supplement the work of the district, state and territory representatives.
