Lions Work with the NAB and SES

The community is the winner with an innovative new training facility provided by NAB and Lions.

The Training Tower and promotional trailer will help ensure that the SES continues to develop the skills and the people to help our community when trouble strikes!

It doesn't seem that long ago that Newcastle was reeling from the impact of the June floods.

Thousands of residents, businesses and local groups faced the impact of the damaging storms, devastating floods and the much longer recovery period. Generous NAB staff throughout the Hunter with the NAB Bank, quickly contributed $50,000 to the relief effort, and looked to their national partners, Lions, to work with them to develop a lasting response to benefit the community.

Add the SES, and soon developed a winning community partnership.

The result came to fruit at a celebration at the SES's Tighes Hill facility on Wednesday 16th of December. The training tower, completed earlier in the year gives the SES a unique training facility to simulate the challenge of repairing homes, at height, under difficult circumstances.

The new promotional trailer will provide a great asset for the SES to promote their work and opportunities.
