Al was the key note speaker for the 28th District 201 T1 Convention. These two wonderful Lions helped celebrate 50 years of Lionism in Australia. (Lismore formed the City of Launceston Lions Club in 1957)
Tasmanian District Governor Leigh Jones said: "Al was quoted as saying he was pleased to attend the Convention in beautiful Tasmania - the State that props up Mainland Australia."
Every Lion who came in contact with Al and Maureen all said what a great privilege it was to say G'Day to two Lions who made everybody feel so relaxed. They enjoyed seeing the sights around Launceston, eating our fine food, just walking down the street, breathing in our clean fresh air, seeing our famous "Tassie Devil" and other Australian wild life.
