Australian PDG Association Annual Dinner at Echuca for 2015-16

Moama Bowling Club which is located across the Murray River from Echuca was the venue for the Annual PDG Association Dinner.

Over 250 people attended and were treated to a fun filled social night along with the serious business of an AGM. PCC David Skinner OAM was the very capable Chairman for the function  and was assisted by PDG Charlie Leaney as Secretary.

The newest Members (2014-15) were grouped on tables near the centre of the venue and were welcomed to their initial PDG Dinner.

PIP Barry Palmer celebrated the 20th anniversary of his DG year with a contingent of his fellow PDGs.

VIP visitors from MD201, MD202, MD307 and India were present and made to feel very welcome.

During the Dinner each table completed some trivia question sheets and following the answers being revealed the "smartest" and "worst" were awarded "valuable gifts" as prizes. In this age of Google it is interesting to note how many referred to "Dr G" for answers.

The social highlights were the "true stories" told by Chairman David. Never have many present been entertained in such ways at the PDGs Dinner. Many cried with laughter.

The formalities were highlighted with the announcement of three PDG Association Life Members and certificates were presented to worthy recipients PDG Glen Herbert, PDG Garry Irvine and PDG Ted Lowe. PDG Ted's certificate was received by PDG Greg Rollason and will be presented to him at a suitable function.

With the next MD201 Convention being hosted in Hobart the PDGs responsible for administering the Annual Dinner were duly elected and the jobs went to PDG Toby Crawford as President and PDG George Bugera as Secretary.
