Affiliated Association

At the last Social Weekend of the PDG’s Association it was suggested that we should strike a Lapel Pin for Past District Governors.

After a lot of discussion about design and shape, Past District Governor John Gillham came up with a suitable design.

Because the association has no Bank Account as such, all members decided that we should pay a substantial amount to cover the cost of the badges and create a small surplus to cover required expenses for Postage, Flowers, and Cards that pop up throughout the year.

The Lapel Badge is now a reality, has been purchased and is now in the process of being issued to members. The basic agreed condition for having a Pin is that you must be a member of the “The Past District Governor Association of Tasmania”, and have paid your Lifetime Membership Fee, except in the case of PDG Doug Omond who was presented with a Pin in recognition of his dedicated work for the Multiple District 201 PDG Association.

All the Past District Governors in Tasmania agree that the Lapel Pin will add prestige to there Past achievements and make them recognisable among their fellow Lions.

We are interested to know if any other PDG association in Australia, or indeed the International scene has seen fit to strike a PDG Lapel Pin. Any inquiries and or comments can be addressed to PDG Jack Allen at,
