LIONS AUSTRALIA was proud to launch its National Raffle, benefitting StepAhead Australia, and Lions Clubs Community Projects.

The prizes were drawn at the National Convention on May 01 2009 - See below for the results.

FIRST PRIZE

The vehicle will not have any other optional equipment however if customer chooses Optional Metallic Paint, it is an additional $500 at the their expense.

GM Holden will cover the following costs:

Registration & Third Party Insurance, Govt. statutory charges and Dealer delivery. (Note: this is estimated at approx $2500 - varies by State)

Note: Comprehensive Insurance is at the cost of the owner (winner).

SECOND PRIZE

Two return air tickets to China up to a value of $5,000

BENEFICIARY OF RAFFLE

1.
50% of the proceeds will be distributed to StepAhead Australia, an organisation whose research aims at finding a cure for chronic spinal injury.
2.
50% of the proceeds, after cost, will be distributed to Lions Clubs for the purpose of conducting charitable and humanitarian projects

It is the policy of Lions in Australia and Internationally that any funds raised from the public MUST be used for humanitarian purposes, and no funds raised will benefit individual members or defray administrative costs of the organisation, except the administrative costs of this raffle.

DRAW

The draw will take place at 11.00 am Friday 1 May 2009 at the Melbourne Convention & Entertainment Centre, Spencer St Southbank Victoria 3006. This will be in front of an audience of people attending the National Convention of MD201 Lions Clubs International.

Ticket stubs containing name, address and telephone numbers will be placed in a barrel and one ticket for each prize will be drawn from the barrel. The first ticket drawn will win the First Prize, second drawn the Second prize, third drawn the third prize, and fourth drawn will win the fourth prize.
