Important Features :

The [newly-branded] Oz Clubhouse has a number of features that are important to us.

  1. A non-technically skilled person can maintain the site. If you can type, you can keep it up to date. (You can make changes to a club site, in 60 seconds at your club meeting, using a mobile phone!)

  2. It has a secure, password protected area for private information. This is updated from the WMMR each month so that your members can automatically access this area using their name and member number. This is a great benefit to protect our intellectual property and give clubs a place to distribute information like minutes etc.

  3. It has linkages between National, District and Club sites.

a. Content including news and updates can be provided by MD201 or Districts at any time. Apart from being a good way to convey information about national and District programs, this means that sites will continue to be updated, even if the club doesn’t get around to it. Since on the internet a static site is a dead site, this is helpful to clubs how may be too busy to maintain the site.

b. The events Calendar links between District and Club. So if each club were to use it - the District would have a calendar of events throughout their District. The District can similarly, show their events on the Club site.

c. District and Multiple District program links will automatically populate the local site.

4. The platform is owned and controlled by MD201. This gives District some control over how it develops.

5. The branding is consistent. As you know, we have been very interested to promote a unified brand presentation within Lions Australia.

6. The sub domain naming practice is transparent and consistent and will help people find our clubs.
