The following information
is meant to be general in nature and is not meant to be an exhaustive expose of
Lions Youth Exchange, but rather a synopsis of the main points common to all
programmes, unless otherwise stated.
All Lions Youth Exchange
Programmes contain the following:

A cultural exchange of
approximately 6 weeks duration during December/ January each year;

Lions Chaperones
accompanying youth on outbound/inbound journeys plus stopovers in London and
Los Angeles, unless circumstances arise which precludes this from occurring,
excluding New Zealand and Malaysia;

Hosting by overseas
Lions families or families associated with Lions;

All inclusive cost,
including any internal travel in host country for travel between host
families;
-
Must be 16 - 21 at time
of departure, unless otherwise stated in specific destinations;

Many International
Youth Camps available during mid-year with camps in New Zealand and Malaysia
available December/January;

Youth Exchange
travelling uniform;
-
Stopovers in London and
Los Angeles/San Francisco is part of some programmes.
This is subject to variation.
Application forms, which
must be completed in quadruplicate with passport size photographs attached, are
required to be signed off by a Lions Club in your area, after interview. These
