A message from our corporate sponsor …

In our eleventh year as Principal Sponsor, NAB is proud and delighted to be involved in the exception program that is the Lions Youth of the Year Quest.

NAB appreciates that many of the Lions Youth of the Year participants will inevitably become influential decision makers and leaders of the future and we encourage their continuous growth through the realisation of their dreams.

Here at NAB, we believe in people with ideas and dreams. It’s why we’re excited to be working with Lions to make ideas and dreams come true.

The relationship

Since 1964, Lions Australia have conducted their Youth of the Year Quest.

The Lions National Australia Bank Youth of the Year Quest is a community project designed to encourage, foster and develop leadership and other citizenship qualities. It is for students attending secondary or equivalent schools.

The Quest helps students develop vital skills at a time when they are preparing to enter the workforce or higher education and it helps students to become more active in society generally.

Lions clubs in local communities conduct the Youth of the Year Quest and winners make their way through zone, region, district, state and then onto national finals.

In 2007, there were 2,500 participants in the Quest from over 1,000 schools located throughout Australia.

Since 1997 the National has been the sole sponsor of the Quest, providing the funding to enable it to be conducted. Many of our managers provide support by volunteering an evening or a day on the weekend to assist as a Quest judge.

Relationship history

The National has supported Lions Australia since 1996 and Lions has been a CommunityLink partner since 1997.
