Tour 2007 - 2008 |

"The Youth of the Year tour by the State winners was held over January and
finished in early February 2008 and was a wonderful experience for the young
people. We thank all the Lions in every State and the ACT for their generous
support and tireless work to give the group some fantastic memories.
One of the highlights of the tour was in Canberra where, during the visit to
parliament house, the group met the Prime Minister, Mr Kevin Rudd. Mr Rudd
has a chat with the group and told them he knew about the YOTY as he had
once been a contestant! Now there's some incentive to become involved - by
both the young people and Lions Clubs!
